(PITTSBURGH, Pa., Sept, 30, 2009) — ACCELERATED Building Technologies today announced an organizational management transition to support the next phase of the organization's growth strategy.  Al Alayon, previously VP Finance NOVA Performance Products, has been named President of ACCELERATED Building Technologies.  "Al brings over 25 years of business experience and will be accountable for delivering the aggressive growth goals needed during the ramp up phase of the business," stated Tony Torres, Vice President of Ventures and Building and Construction for NOVA Chemicals.

ACCELERATED Building Technologies is a division of SYNTHEON Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of the NOVA Chemicals building and construction business. ACCELERATED Building Technologies' featured product, the accel-E™ wall panel will be integrated into the SYNTHEON portfolio of high-efficiency construction systems and advanced materials component fabrication – providing a greater global market presence for the product.  Torres also added, "Aligning the ABT brand and products with the SYNTHEON brand allows us to strategically grow the business and offer our customers expanded building envelope solutions."
